Job Summary

The People & Culture Learning Experience Associate Developer (Associate Developer) assists in creating and implementing high-quality learning solutions that meet the needs of the firm. This role supports the creation of engaging and effective learning solutions that follow graphic design standards. The Associate Developer works under more experienced Learning Experience Developers and Designers to produce high quality learning experiences.

Job Duties

  • Works under the guidance of more experienced Learning Experience Design and Development team members, subject matter experts, and business partners to understand project deliverables and desired outcomes

  • Communicates with National Learning and Development teams to clarify project requirements and meet client expectations.

  • Creates visually appealing assets that adhere to graphic design and accessibility standards while using graphic design tools.

  • Assists in creating instructional materials such as graphics, animations, videos, and other multimedia elements.

  • Collaborates with L&D Design and Development team members to share ideas, solve problems, and give feedback on each others work

  • Supports multiple projects at the same time while maintaining an attention to detail and quality standards

  • Reviews and applies feedback to improve course content and delivery

  • Cultivates skills to develop software simulations, demos, and other advanced instructional tools

  • Follows accessibility standards and compliance requirements for all learning solutions

  • Expands understanding of design and development principles and adult learning theory

  • Interprets and applies National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) standards to all applicable deliverables

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in interactive media or graphic design, required

Experience:

  • Experience with graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, required

  • Experience with audio and basic video production, required

  • Experience with interpreting regulatory guidelines, rules and laws, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • N/A

Software:

  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Suite, required

  • Experience with high-level course development tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline 360, Captivate and/or Lectora, etc., required

  • Experience with advanced visual design development tools such as Photoshop, Premiere, Media Encoder, Audition, and SharePoint, etc., required

  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and other eLearning standards and protocols, preferred

  • HTML knowledge, preferred

Language:

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn instructional design principles and adult learning theory

  • Ability to understand and interpret NASBA and AICPA guidelines and apply them to training modules

  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards

  • Ability and willingness to learn new applications with minimum supervision/instruction

  • Capable of successfully working independently or within a group environment

  • Excellent customer service attitude with the ability to provide guidance to internal customers

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage expectations and customer demands

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of copyright laws
