Associate Consultant / Senior Associate Consultant - Plastic Surgery

As a member of the Medical Staff department in Mumbai, you are expected to maintain a professional approach when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities include providing medical coverage for routine and emergency cases during your duty hours and collaborating with other specialties within the institute. It is essential that you adhere to all clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols, such as wearing gloves, aprons, and practicing proper hand hygiene. You must be prepared and available to attend to patients as needed, including assisting consultants in the operation theatre and supporting surgeries under their supervision. Your role also involves being knowledgeable and skilled in identifying complex surgical issues and taking appropriate actions during emergencies with the consultant's approval. You will oversee the daily clinical management of patients alongside the Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and under the guidance of Consultants. Ensuring complete and accurate patient documentation, obtaining consent for surgeries and procedures, and maintaining effective communication with patients, their families, colleagues, and other healthcare personnel are crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Treatment sheets should be written in capital letters with diagnoses, dated, named, and signed by the attending doctor. You are required to join respective Consultants for rounds, conduct independent rounds, and follow up on patients for further care or changes in treatment plans. Adherence to on-call and duty rota schedules based on departmental requirements is also expected from you.,
