Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant in the Tax Tech team based in Bangalore, you will play a key role as an individual contributor reporting to the Manager, supporting the US region with your functional and technical knowledge of SAP and third-party tax engines like Onesource/Vertex. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying deep business knowledge to drive engagement on major tax integration projects - Gathering business requirements, leading analysis, and driving high-level E2E design - Managing configuration and development activities to meet business requirements through internal and external teams - Overseeing external software vendors and System Integrators on project implementation, ensuring adherence to SLAs - Taking a domain lead role on IT projects, ensuring all business stakeholders are included and receive sufficient and timely communications - Providing leadership to teams, integrating technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and customers - Consulting with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues and mentoring team members on process/technical issues - Utilizing formal system implementation methodologies during project preparation, requirements gathering, design, build/test, and deployment - Leveraging experience in handling support incidents, major incidents, and problems as an added advantage Qualifications required for this role include a BE/B.Tech/MCA degree with 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience. Mandatory skills include expertise in SAP, Onesource, Vertex, and indirect tax integration, while preferred skills encompass indirect tax concepts, SAP native tax, and hands-on experience in Tax Engine Integration with ERP systems. Your key behavioral attributes should include hands-on experience in Tax Engine Integration with ERP systems, understanding of indirect tax concepts, familiarity with O2C and P2P processes, experience in tax engine configurations, troubleshooting tax-related issues, solution design, and knowledge of Avalara and VAT compliance. The interview process consists of 2 technical rounds followed by an HR round. Additionally, this role involves traveling, but the busy season does not apply.,
