In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of an Azure-based AI infrastructure platform, focusing on supporting generative AI workloads and advanced analytics for pharma business use-cases. You will work on developing and deploying scalable AI solutions using Azure services like Azure Machine Learning, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other relevant tools. Additionally, you will oversee the design and implementation of data storage, retrieval, and processing pipelines, ensuring efficient handling of large datasets, including genomic and chemical compound data. Your collaboration with data scientists, research scientists, and other stakeholders will be essential in translating their needs into technical requirements. You will also be involved in optimizing platform performance and cost-efficiency, staying updated with the latest trends in AI and cloud infrastructure, and exploring new ways to enhance the platform's capabilities. Your exposure to other Cloud and GenAI technologies like GCP, OpenAI, Perplexity, and AWS will be valuable in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the design and architecture of an Azure-based AI infrastructure platform - Develop and deploy scalable AI solutions using Azure services - Oversee the design and implementation of data storage, retrieval, and processing pipelines - Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate their needs into technical requirements - Optimize platform performance and cost-efficiency - Stay updated with the latest trends in AI and cloud infrastructure - Explore new ways to enhance the platform's capabilities - Have good exposure/understanding of other Cloud and GenAI technologies **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or Engineering - MS-Azure Solution Architect certification at a professional level - 10+ years of experience in public cloud environments delivering infrastructure and platform services - Minimum 5+ years experience in MS-Azure Solution Architect / Design Expert role for large enterprises - Deep understanding of Architecture and Design of Platform Engineering products - Extensive experience in building infra solutions on Microsoft Azure - Proficiency in AI and Machine Learning frameworks - Solid hands-on experience in Generative AI techniques - Good understanding in data engineering and working with structured and unstructured data - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies - Experience with DevOps practices and tools - Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts for infrastructure In addition to the job role, Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment with diverse teams representing the patients and communities they serve.
