As an Assistant Vice President - Treasury Hedge Accounting at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the digital landscape and ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing effective hedge accounting strategies to support the bank's risk management framework and adjusting them as necessary to maintain hedge effectiveness. - Assessing potential hedge accounting relationships between financial instruments, considering factors like effectiveness, designation, and hedge ratio. - Preparing and maintaining comprehensive hedge accounting documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and availability for audit review. - Performing fair value measurements for financial instruments and calculating and recording hedge accounting adjustments to reflect the impact on financial statements. - Managing regular effectiveness testing of hedging relationships and evaluating the effectiveness of hedging strategies.
