Assistant Vice President, Financial Crime Investigative Reporting

As an Assistant Vice President, Financial Crime Investigative Reporting at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in managing a team of Investigators and Sr. Investigators, overseeing end-to-end Financial Crime investigations originating from various sources, SAR drafting, and Triage activity. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing a team of Investigators and Sr. Investigators, ensuring well-articulated investigations with clear findings. You must have high skill levels in written English. - Allocating work, maintaining oversight on SLA, and ensuring investigators are trained and accredited in Investigation Reporting and Triage. - Managing investigation quality aligned with internal procedures, ensuring correct SAR filing to prevent policy or non-policy findings. - Interacting with MLRO/Delegate and SAR writing team for timely filing of SAR. - Identifying and escalating significant and sensitive investigations for appropriate prioritization, resourcing, and investigative strategy. Communicating ongoing status and related mitigating actions to key stakeholders. - Providing correspondent banking subject matter expertise to inform other parts of FCI. - Managing the performance, wellbeing, and work-life balance of team members, ensuring motivation and engagement with financial crime investigations. Qualifications required for this role include: - People management experience. - Strong experience in Financial Crime investigation or related field. - Excellent analysis and report writing skills in English. - Experience of MLRO engagement is a plus. - Strong interpersonal skills with proactive problem-solving abilities. - High IT proficiency, capable of analyzing large datasets. - Essential knowledge of Financial Crime.
