Assistant Vice President Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly-skilled Automation Engineer (AVP level) with strong hands-on experience in Java and Selenium. The ideal candidate should have a background in investment banking with a proven track record in QA for Front Office Trading Systems. Strong communication skills are essential, along with expertise in industry-standard tools like Jira, ALM, Zephyr, Confluence, Jenkins, OpenShift, and Jenkins pipelines. As an Automation Engineer, your key responsibilities will include developing automation scripts and framework libraries for both UI and API testing, participating in Delivery Feature Teams for impact analysis, defining test plans and test cases, driving in-sprint automation of Feature Deliveries, and conducting detailed root cause analysis of defects. You will also be responsible for producing regular Test Reports, mitigating roll-out risk through runbook reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting various technical issues, mentoring team members, and contributing to process improvement initiatives within the wider eComm QA team. The required qualifications and experience for this role include a strong track record in delivering QA for Front Office Trading Systems, hands-on experience in QA automation (UI and API automation), proficiency in Java programming, expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for UI automation, experience with version control tools like Git, familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins, and previous contributions to Cucumber automation frameworks. Additionally, experience with ALM, Zephyr, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, OpenShift, and Splunk is preferred, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work effectively in a global team environment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice to have qualifications include experience working on Single Dealer Platforms and familiarity with FX and Local Market environments.
