Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with hands-on experience in residential and commercial real estate projects. The ideal candidate will manage project costs, tendering, valuations, and contractual matters while ensuring financial efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & Budgeting

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential apartments, villas, and commercial office/retail spaces.
• Establish and manage project-wise budgets and feasibility reports for new developments.

Project Cost Control

• Track actual vs. estimated costs; monitor deviations and escalate issues.
• Forecast cash flows and update cost-to-complete reports for ongoing projects.

Billing & Valuation

• Validate and certify contractor/vendor bills in accordance with work progress.
• Coordinate with the site team for joint measurements and work verification.
• Ensure timely release of payments and maintain billing logs.

Contract Management

• Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts/agreements.
• Identify risks in contracts and suggest commercial safeguards.
• Handle change orders, variations, and claims assessment.

Site Coordination & Audits

• Conduct site visits to verify work done, material use, and work quality.
• Coordinate with site engineers, architects, MEP consultants, and finance teams.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of civil works, building materials, and real estate project execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software .
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of local market rates and procurement norms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in residential and commercial real estate projects.
• Experience with developers or real estate contracting companies preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
