Assistant Professor Retail

The Assistant Professor of Retail Management will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting research initiatives, and contributing to curriculum development in the field of retail and allied areas. The role emphasizes student engagement, academic excellence, and integration of contemporary retail practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Retail Management and related subjects
• Prepare lesson plans, course outlines, and instructional materials in line with curriculum requirements
• Use innovative teaching methodologies, case studies, and technology-enabled learning tools
• Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and projects
• Assist in curriculum development and periodic syllabus revision
• Conduct research and work towards publications in reputed journals
• Guide undergraduate and postgraduate student projects
• Participate in academic administration, student mentoring, and institutional activities
• Engage in industry interactions, guest sessions, workshops, and live projects
• Participate in faculty development programs and continuous professional development

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Management / Retail / Marketing or a related discipline with first class or equivalent
• PhD in Retail Management / Marketing / Management (completed or pursuing) as per regulatory norms
• NET / SET qualification as per UGC/AICTE or equivalent guidelines (where applicable)

Experience

• 0–5 years

  of teaching, research, and/or relevant industry experience
• Fresh PhD holders are encouraged to apply
• Prior industry exposure in retail is an advantage
