Key Responsibilities by Rank

1. Teaching and Clinical Instruction (Core Responsibility)

• Instruction:

  Conduct engaging and evidence-based theory classes and practical demonstrations for assigned subjects.

• Curriculum:

  Assist in or lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing curricula in line with

  INC and University guidelines

  .

• Clinical Supervision:

  Oversee and guide students during clinical postings in affiliated hospitals/community health settings, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and practical competency development.

• Mentorship:

  Provide academic counseling and professional guidance to students.

2. Research and Scholarship

• Assistant Professor:

  Engage in personal research and actively assist in departmental research projects. Supervise student dissertations.

• Associate Professor:

  Lead research projects, apply for minor research grants, and secure consistent publications in peer-reviewed

  SCI/Scopus/UGC CARE journals

  . Guide M.Sc. and Ph.D. scholars (if recognized).

• Professor:

  Establish and lead a research unit/area of specialization. Secure major national/international research grants. Provide senior leadership in research ethics and methodology across the college.

3. Administration and Leadership

• Assistant Professor:

  Participate in departmental committees (e.g., examination, curriculum, student welfare) and routine administrative duties.

• Associate Professor:

  Chair departmental committees, manage academic programs, and assist the Principal/HOD in policy implementation and accreditation (NAAC/INC) documentation.

• Professor:

  Provide strategic academic leadership. Oversee faculty development, mentor junior faculty, manage departmental budgets, and represent the college at external professional forums.
