Assistant Professor (Law)

Roles and ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Teach UG law programs (3-year LL.B. / 5-year B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., etc.)
• Assist in PG teaching (LL.M.) where assigned
• Prepare lesson plans and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars
• Follow BCI-prescribed syllabus structure, credit hours, and teaching hours

B. Clinical Legal Education (Mandatory as per BCI)

• Conduct and supervise:
• Moot Court Exercises
• Drafting, Pleading & Conveyancing
• Professional Ethics & Professional Accounting System
• ADR and Arbitration
• Legal Aid Clinic activities
• Guide students in internships and court visits as per BCI requirements

C. Research & Academic Development

• Engage in legal research and publications
• Publish research articles in recognized journals
• Participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, and seminars
• Assist in research projects and academic initiatives of the department

D. Examination & Evaluation

• Conduct internal assessments and continuous evaluation
• Assist in question paper setting and answer script evaluation
• Conduct viva-voce, practical, and clinical examinations

E. Student Mentoring & Discipline

• Mentor students for academic progress, internships, and career guidance
• Maintain academic discipline and professional ethics
• Address student grievances at departmental level

F. Academic Administration & Compliance

• Assist in maintaining records required for:
• BCI inspections and approvals
• University affiliation and audits
• Support NAAC/IQAC documentation related to legal education
• Perform duties assigned by the Head of Department / Dean

5. Workload (As per BCI & UGC)

• Teaching workload as prescribed by UGC norms
• Clinical course hours as mandated by BCI Legal Education Rules

6. Service Conditions

• Covered under Career Advancement Scheme (CAS)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,964.84 - ₹30,000.00 per month
