Assistant Professor in Applied Science (Organic Chemistry)

As an Assistant Professor in Applied Science (Organic Chemistry) within the Chemical Sciences Department, you will be required to hold a Master's degree in Chemistry (any discipline of chemistry) with 55% marks from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Additionally, a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry is essential for this role. Your main responsibilities will include conducting innovative research in the field of organic chemistry, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in organic chemistry, supervising and mentoring students in research projects, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, and engaging in scholarly activities such as publications and conference presentations. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the department through committee participation. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate expertise in both theoretical and experimental aspects of organic chemistry, show a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research, possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.
