Job Title: Assistant Professor of Psychology

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified individual to join NIILM University as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, expertise in one or more branches of psychology (such as Clinical, Counseling, Organizational, or Educational Psychology), and a commitment to teaching, research, and student development.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop and update course syllabi, ensuring alignment with current psychological theories and practices.
• Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and class participation.
• Guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and internships.

Research:

• Conduct independent research and publish findings in reputed journals and conferences.
• Collaborate with peers on interdisciplinary projects and academic initiatives.
• Seek opportunities for research funding and contribute to departmental research growth.

Service:

• Participate in departmental and university committees, faculty meetings, and curriculum development activities.
• Mentor and support students in academic and career development.
• Contribute to organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences in psychology.

Professional Development:

• Stay updated with the latest developments in psychology through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Enhance teaching and research through continuous learning and training.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Psychology with NET qualification (UGC norms).
• Ph.D. in Psychology preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of teaching or relevant research/industry experience.
• Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals or significant practical experience in applied psychology settings.
• Exceptional fresh candidates with strong academic records may also be considered.

Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and mentoring ability.
• Familiarity with counseling techniques, psychometric assessments, and research methodologies.
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching and research.
