Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor – Fire & Safety

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering / Industrial Safety / Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline from a recognized university.
• Ph.D. in Fire & Safety / Safety Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching, research, or relevant industry experience in fire safety, occupational safety, or risk management.
• Strong academic record; publications in reputed journals will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should meet UGC/AICTE norms as applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fire & Safety, Disaster Management, and Industrial Safety.
• Develop, update, and revise curriculum to align with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Train students in fire prevention, firefighting techniques, occupational safety, and emergency response.
• Guide research projects, dissertations, and case studies in safety management.
• Conduct safety drills, workshops, and practical demonstrations.
• Collaborate with industry for internships, industrial visits, and applied research.
• Mentor students for professional and career growth.
• Participate in departmental and university committees and academic initiatives.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

• Expertise in Disaster Management, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Risk Assessment, or Occupational Safety.
• Practical exposure in firefighting systems, hazard analysis, and safety audits.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, NFPA, OSHA will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to integrate real-world safety practices with academic teaching.

Pay Scale

₹30,000 – ₹70,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
