Role Overview

The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, guiding students in academic and research activities, and contributing to departmental initiatives. The candidate must possess strong subject knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cyber Security, along with a commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Duties

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in AI/ML, Cyber Security, and core CSE subjects.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
• Conduct laboratory sessions, tutorials, and project-based learning activities.
• Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and continuous assessments.
• Mentor and guide students on academic projects, internships, and career development.

Research & Development

• Participate in funded research projects in AI/ML, Cyber Security, Data Science, Deep Learning, or related domains.
• Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences (Scopus/SCI).
• Collaborate with industry partners and research organizations for joint projects.
• Develop new research proposals and contribute to the department’s research ecosystem.

Departmental & Institutional Responsibilities

• Support curriculum development and revision in emerging areas of AI/ML and Cyber Security.
• Participate in accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC) and academic audits.
• Contribute to departmental events such as workshops, seminars, FDPs, and hackathons.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory infrastructure, including AI/ML labs & Cyber Security labs.
• Perform administrative duties assigned by the HOD or institution.

Required Qualifications

• M.Tech/M.E. in Computer Science & Engineering or a related discipline (AI/ML/Cyber Security preferred).
• Ph.D. (awarded/pursuing) in relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Strong academic background and expertise in:
• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
• Cyber Security / Network Security
• Data Science & Deep Learning
• Python programming, MATLAB, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Strong programming and analytical abilities.
• Passion for teaching, research, and continuous learning.
• Ability to mentor students and engage in academic leadership.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital teaching tools.

Experience

• Prior teaching or research experience in higher education is preferred.
• Industry experience in AI/ML or Cyber Security will be an added advantage.
• Freshers can also apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,001.12 - ₹75,520.72 per month
