Position Overview:

Assistant Professor Community Medicine

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct theory and practical teaching sessions for undergraduate (MBBS) students as per NMC guidelines.
• Supervise field visits, community health surveys, and epidemiological studies.
• Guide and mentor students in research projects, presentations, and public health initiatives.
• Participate actively in departmental academic programs, seminars, and CME activities.
• Assist in organizing health camps, outreach programs, and rural/urban health training activities.
• Engage in research and publication in reputed medical journals.
• Contribute to institutional development through academic and administrative participation.
  

Qualifications & Eligibility (As per NMC norms)

Essential:

• MBBS with MD (Community Medicine / Preventive & Social Medicine) from an institution recognized by the NMC.
• Registration with the Medical Council of India / National Medical Commission & State Medical Council.
  

Experience:

• As per the latest NMC norms for the post of Assistant Professor in Community Medicine (minimum 1 year post-MD experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Senior Resident).
  

Desirable:

• Strong academic, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in public health research, program evaluation, or health promotion.
• Publications in indexed journals.
