Assistant Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

Design Coordination

• Review the Sales Orders
• Check if all fabrication drawings are in place for the same
• Coordinate with Design team for any design modifications and design change notes for NCRs
• Following the appropriate filing system for design revisions

Material Coordination

• Prepare material requisition notes as per production plans
• Check available stock
• Raise material requisitions to purchase for critical tooling
• Follow up with Store team for materials
• Checking of materials received from store for quantity and quality against MRN
• Ensuring rejected materials are handed over to store
• Coordinate with vendors for timely and accurate job work deliveries as per production schedule

Shop floor Coordination

• Receive Despatch Plan from PPC
• Preparing daily, weekly, monthly production schedule
• Estimate manpower requirements to execute the job
• Estimate raw material requirements to execute the job
• Estimate tooling requirements to execute the job
• Estimate job work outsourcing requirements to execute the job
• Prepare & maintain drawing wise machine programs
• Ascertaining timelines to complete the job
• Establishing priorities of jobs
• Monitoring progress; revising schedules; as per requirements
• Reporting on daily basis regarding progress of production schedule
• Allocate job to workers
• Ensure job is completed in time
• Ensure finished goods are handed over to store and the register is maintained

Testing Coordination

• Ensure incoming materials, outgoing materials are as per specifications
• Prepare quality Reports

Despatch Coordination

• Ensure packing of items
• Ensure Tagging of the boxes
• Ensure to handover final products to dispatch team as per schedules

Factory Equipment Maintenance

• Plan the servicing work of factory machinery to ensure factory output is not affected by the service work
• Repair and service all the machinery and equipment present in the manufacturing unit
• Conduct safety checks on all the machines to ensure safety of workers working on them
• Inspect all the machines and make reports on depreciation and replacement requirements of the machinery
• Keep an inventory of equipment required for the repair work
• Ensure that any parts that need replacing are available in stock
• Make detailed reports on all the work that is done on each machine
