Assistant Manager Process Quality Control will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing and assembly processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role requires expertise in quality management systems, process control, and defect prevention to enhance product reliability and minimize rework. The ideal candidate will lead process audits, defect analysis, and quality improvements to uphold Emotorads commitment to excellence in the EV industry. Key Responsibilities : 1. Quality Control & Assurance Define and implement process quality control strategies to enhance product performance and durability. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other industry-specific quality management standards. Develop, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) to minimize defects and improve production efficiency. Identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters and establish process controls to ensure adherence to specifications. Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield (FPY), Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO), and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics to drive improvements. 2. Process Audits & Compliance Conduct regular process audits to identify deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure adherence to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) standards. Manage quality documentation, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams. Lead internal and external quality audits and assist in compliance with global quality regulations. 3. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Continuous Improvement Lead 8D problem-solving, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), and Fishbone (Ishikawa) analysis for defect resolution. Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve production efficiency. Collaborate with production and R&D teams to identify areas for process optimization and automation. Utilize Kaizen methodologies to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. 4. Supplier Quality & Vendor Management Establish and maintain supplier quality requirements, ensuring incoming materials meet predefined standards. Conduct supplier audits, inspections, and Supplier Performance Evaluations to ensure consistent material quality. Develop strong relationships with suppliers and provide feedback for quality enhancements. 5. Training & Team Development Train and mentor quality control inspectors and production staff on quality standards and best practices. Conduct workshops on 5S, Poka-Yoke (error-proofing), and Zero Defect manufacturing. Develop and implement Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and training manuals for quality procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: Educational Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering. A certification in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Management Systems is a plus. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in process quality control within the EV, automobile, or manufacturing industry. Strong expertise in quality management frameworks (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA). Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel, etc.). Experience with automated quality inspection systems and digital quality control tools. Strong knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) techniques and defect prevention methodologies. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities .Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
