Assistant Manager - Mold Design & Development

As the ideal candidate for the position of Assistant Manager - Mould Design & Development - Appliances based in Mumbai, your role will involve overseeing the molding process for home appliance products. You will lead mold trials, validation, and commissioning, identifying operational challenges, validating molds, and coordinating with mold design teams to ensure technical alignment. Additionally, you will drive the engineering aspects of New Product Development (NPD) and share process data with plants. - Lead multiple NPD projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion - Track progress, manage risks, and resolve project issues proactively - Collaborate with mold design, engineering, and manufacturing teams - Coordinate with Quality Assurance for safety and quality standards - Engage with the B.O.M. team for cost evaluation - Ensure product compliance with safety standards and regulatory norms - Supervise product testing and validation - Explore new materials and technologies to improve mold designs Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in operating injection molding machines - Proficiency in mold flow analysis and issue resolution - Ability to estimate cycle time and molding machine tonnage - Experience in DFM studies for part and tool feasibility - Knowledge of material properties relevant to injection molding - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills - Minimum of 7+ years of experience in mold development and process engineering - Experience in leading mold trials and establishing molding processes for home appliance products - Experience coordinating with mold makers for validation and commissioning,
