Assistant Manager - Industrialization (Switches & EWA)

Objective:

Lead the industrialization of switch products, ensuring seamless transition from design to manufacturing.

Develop robust and cost-effective manufacturing processes while maintaining product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of switches (modular, non-modular, smart switches, etc.).

Define and optimize manufacturing processes, including tooling, assembly lines, automation, and testing procedures.

Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for production scalability.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards (BIS, RoHS, CE, etc.) for manufacturing processes.

Work closely with suppliers and production teams to establish a reliable supply chain and production flow.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Implement new materials, technologies, and automation techniques to improve efficiency.

Develop and oversee pilot runs, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to mass production.

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to enhance product reliability and minimize defects.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for industrialization initiatives.

Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of innovation and process excellence.

Education & Experience:

10+ years of experience in industrialization or manufacturing of switches or similar electrical products.

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and automation.

Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and lean manufacturing.

Proficiency in industrial software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

Exposure to new product industrialization (NPI) and lifecycle management.
