Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for overall accounting of payables, General ledger of the entity ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, fixed assets, employee expenses are recorded properly,
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of accounts as per IFRS,
• Prepare financial statements for audits, monthly closing and management analysis for accounts payable, fixed assets,
• Ensuring all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (Indian GAAP and IFRS),
• Performing fiscal year end close activities and assisting in activities and requirements of auditors,
• Ensuring proper expense recognition, accruals on periodical basis,
• Intercompany accounting, related party transactions reconciliations,
• Coordination with related workstreams and stakeholders,
• Coordinate, discuss and resolve observations from external auditors,
• Support tax team with data for tax assessments, submissions, fillings, support for GST returns,
• Should be handhold on filling of TDS returns through TRACES and corresponding reconciliation with books,
• Checking of fixed asset capitalization, posting of monthly depreciation, reconciliation of CWIP along with grant approval maintenance,
• Monitoring and supervision of Accounts payable, ageing, reconciliation, advance adjustments at the time of payment,

Preferred candidate profile

• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations,
• Experience in overseeing the annual audit,
• Proficient in excel, word and power point presentations,
• Appropriate interpersonal and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines,
• Ability to learn new things and able to contribute in team work and towards the common goal of the organization,
• Knowledge of accounting software and process flow would be an added advantage
