Role Overview

Electrical SME

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering

• Lead the design review and validation of electrical systems including HT/LT distribution, UPS, DG sets, transformers, switchgear, PDUs, bus ducts, earthing, and lighting.
• Ensure designs comply with datacenter standards, codes, safety regulations, and best practices for reliability and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with HVAC, civil, and other MEP SMEs to integrate systems seamlessly.

• Project Execution

• Oversee on-site electrical project execution including installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Monitor contractor/vendor activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct quality checks and coordinate with consultants, OEMs, and service providers.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, shop drawings, and method statements.

• Operations & Handover

• Support smooth transition from project phase to steady-state operations.
• Provide training and documentation to the operations team.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and recommend improvements for system performance and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement in power efficiency, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in electrical systems for large infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in

  datacenter projects

• Strong knowledge of

  power distribution systems, UPS, DG, transformers, STS, ATS, grounding, and energy efficiency practices

  .
• Hands-on experience in project execution and commissioning of datacenter electrical systems.
• Exposure to datacenter operational environments (Tier III/Tier IV standards preferred).
• Familiarity with international design standards (IEEE, NFPA, IEC, BIS, ASHRAE, Uptime Institute).
• Excellent stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and problem-solving skills.
