Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Librarian in checking-in, checking-out, and managing the circulation of library materials.
  • Handle patron registration, manage transactions, and process new books and reservations.
  • Maintain library records, manage data, and generate reports using library software systems.
  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of bibliographic files and other library materials.
  • Train and supervise library clerks and assistants in their job duties.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate in Library Science or any related field.
  • Proficiency with library management systems and cataloging procedures.
  • Ability to assist faculty and students with research, reference, and bibliographic needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing library operations.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with library users and staff.
