Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

Assist in manpower planning in coordination with department heads.
Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant and office staff sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Maintain updated manpower reports and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies.

2. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement

Support in maintaining healthy employee relations.
Handle grievance redressal, counseling, and disciplinary procedures in coordination with HR Manager.
Plan and execute employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and cultural programs.

3. Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws (Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, etc.).
Coordinate with contractors to ensure statutory compliance for contract labour.
Prepare and maintain statutory records, registers, and returns as per legal requirements.
Liaise with statutory bodies during audits and inspections.

4. Training & Development

Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical and behavioral training programs.
Maintain training records and evaluate post-training effectiveness.
Support in developing competency-based development programs for employees.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing / steel / heavy engineering industry.
