Assistant Director of Spa

As the Assistant Director - Spa at an International Five-Star Luxury Resort, you will be responsible for managing all areas of the spa, including programs, services, facilities, and staff. Your role will involve coordinating the delivery of various spa services such as salon, skin care, fitness, wellness, massage, program coordinating, reservations, reception desk, and locker room areas. Working as a department head, you will lead the management team and hourly employees to ensure the successful execution of all spa operations. Your aim will be to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the department's financial performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Select vendors for spa retail operations and manage contract agreements. - Oversee retail product research, selection, purchasing, and display. - Manage supply inventories, purchasing control, and uniforms. - Monitor actual and projected sales to meet revenue goals. - Maintain cleanliness of spa and related areas and equipment. - Create special services for groups and manage spa promotions. - Ensure spa services are included in all property-related marketing. - Identify and recommend new products to remain competitive. - Manage controllable expenses to achieve budgeted goals. - Display leadership in guest hospitality and empower employees to provide excellent customer service. - Review guest satisfaction results and develop corrective action plans. - Interview, hire, and train management and hourly employees. - Administer performance appraisals and develop business goals. - Establish open, collaborative relationships with employees. - Utilize professional skills and knowledge in spa operations. **Qualifications Required:** - Knowledge of salon and spa products and services. - Familiarity with spa/salon services and equipment maintenance. - Sales orientation and ability to maximize spa facility profit. - Basic computer skills and mathematical reasoning. - Strong oral and written communication skills.
