Job Summary:

We are looking for a detailed oriented an Assistant Cameraman (AC) supports the camera department in all stages of media production - including pre-production, on-set shooting, and post-production handover. This role ensures that the camera team operates efficiently and that the DOP’s creative and technical vision is executed accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Camera Setup & Technical Support

• Assist in setting up, assembling, and testing cameras, lenses, and accessories.
• Configure frame rates, resolutions, exposure settings, and filters as per DOP’s instructions.
• Handle gimbals, sliders, tripods, stabilizers, and rig setups.

2. Focus Pulling & Shot Execution

• Maintain accurate focus during shots when functioning as 1st AC.
• Support the Camera Operator by adjusting lenses, apertures, and camera movements.
• Ensure all frames meet technical and creative requirements.

3. Equipment Management

• Keep camera gear organized, cleaned, and safely stored.
• Charge batteries, format cards, and maintain equipment logs.
• Assist with loading/unloading gear during location shoots.

4. Media & Data Handling

• Manage memory cards and ensure proper labeling and tracking.
• Hand over footage safely to the Data Manager or Editor.
• Maintain data sheets and ensure no loss or duplication of files.

5. On-Set Coordination

• Slate/clap scenes and coordinate with the director, script supervisor, and sound team.
• Help mark actor positions for focus and camera movement.
• Work closely with lighting and grip departments for smooth workflow.

6. Troubleshooting

• Identify and fix minor technical issues with camera equipment.
• Quickly respond to on-set challenges to avoid production delays.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of camera systems and accessories (ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, etc.).
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to on-set changes.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially in focus pulling and camera settings.
• Good physical stamina (often long hours, carrying gear).
• Good time management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work as a Camera Trainee or Camera PA.
• Experience with both film and digital formats (depending on production type).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
