Job Description

As an Assistant Asset Manager - Heavy Machinery & Operators at Amar Infraprojects, your role involves overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and deployment of heavy machinery and the teams of operators who run them. Your responsibilities include: - Overseeing the complete fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring their availability and reliability across project locations. - Monitoring daily usage, performance metrics, and location data for all vehicles using appropriate tracking systems. - Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, service routines, and inspection plans to minimize breakdowns. - Maintaining updated records of vehicle fitness, insurance, permits, and regulatory renewals. - Tracking and optimizing fuel consumption, mileage, and service intervals to enhance operational efficiency. - Liaising with vehicle operators, in-house mechanics, and third-party service providers for repairs, servicing, and parts replacement. - Ensuring vehicles are timely dispatched and available as per project demands to avoid downtime. - Maintaining a comprehensive asset register including serial numbers, purchase details, and depreciation information. - Conducting regular inspections to ensure all vehicles comply with the condition of the vehicle, safety standards, and legal regulations. - Preparing and presenting periodic reports detailing vehicle performance, maintenance costs, and operational issues. - Identifying underperforming or obsolete vehicles and recommending replacement, disposal, or upgrades. - Addressing and resolving operator concerns in coordination with HR and management. - Providing recommendations for operator transfers, disciplinary actions, or terminations based on performance and project needs. - Coordinating with the project manager, operations manager, and HR for hiring or reallocating operators. - Prioritizing and emphasizing preventive maintenance practices to reduce downtime and long-term costs. - Assisting the purchase department in identifying qualified vendors and comparing repair costs for best value procurement. - Sourcing JCB, Crane, Ajax Operator & Tipper Drivers as per the requirement.
