Assistant Accounts and Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Accounts Manager will oversee the complete accounting and financial operations of the manufacturing unit, ensuring accurate cost control, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective financial reporting to support production and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Maintain *books of accounts* including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance

Prepare *monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements*

Ensure compliance with *accounting standards* and company policies

Coordinate with auditors for *internal and statutory audits*

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

Monitor *product costing*, job costing, and process costing

Analyze *raw material consumption, WIP, and finished goods inventory*

Track *production costs*, overhead absorption, and variance analysis

Support management with *cost reduction and efficiency analysis*

Inventory & Stores Accounting

Reconcile *inventory records* with physical stock

Monitor *GRN, issue notes, stock valuation (FIFO / Weighted Average)*

Control slow-moving and obsolete inventory

Coordinate with production and stores departments

Taxation & Statutory Compliance

Handle *GST compliance* (returns, reconciliations, input credit, e-way bills)

Manage *TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax*, and other statutory filings

Ensure compliance with *Companies Act / Factory Act* (as applicable)

Budgeting & MIS

Prepare *annual budgets and forecasts*

Develop *MIS reports* for management (production cost, profitability, variance)

Monitor *cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization*

Payroll & Labour Cost Accounting

ERP / System Management

Work on *ERP systems* (SAP, Tally, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.)

Ensure proper accounting integration with *production, purchase, and sales modules*

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of *manufacturing accounting & cost control*

Expertise in *GST and statutory compliances*

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to coordinate with *production, stores, and purchase teams*

Proficiency in *ERP systems and MS Excel*

Qualifications

MBA Finance / Bcom/M.Com* (preferred)

Minimum *510 years of experience* in accounts & finance

Mandatory experience in a *manufacturing or industrial unit*
