Assessment Creators and Reviewers

As an Assessment Creator and Reviewer, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, standards-aligned assessments for CCSS Math and NGSS Science for grades 6-10. This is a contractual position expected to last for 5 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop 20-25 flawless assessment items per day aligned with CCSS for Math and NGSS for Science, ensuring minimal need for review or editing. - Create diagnostic assessments with clear learning outcomes and objectives, ensuring alignment with Bloom's Taxonomy, Depth of Knowledge (DoK), and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix. - Construct distractor rationales, hints, and feedback that are pedagogically sound and support student learning and assessment interpretation. - Ensure each assessment item has appropriate difficulty and is cognitively demanding as per the standards, while understanding the difference between cognitive load and item difficulty. - Utilize proven assessment design frameworks to develop questions that measure understanding, application, analysis, and higher-order thinking skills. - Collaborate with the project team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. - Review and revise items as needed to ensure all assessment content is error-free and aligned with the required standards. Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in creating or reviewing assessment items for educational institutions, edtech companies, or related fields. - Proven experience with CCSS (Math) and NGSS (Science) standards. Do not apply if you lack this specific experience. - Strong understanding of Bloom's Taxonomy, Depth of Knowledge (DoK), and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix. - Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with attention to detail for error-free content. - Ability to work independently from home and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. - Ability to distinguish between the difficulty of an assessment item and its cognitive load, ensuring appropriate levels of challenge. - Knowledge of effective diagnostic assessments, with the ability to provide insightful feedback and distractor rationales for incorrect answers.,
