Assembly Process Planning

Job Description: As an Assembly Process Planning Engineer at Actalent, your primary responsibility will be to optimize product, process, and assembly hierarchies. You will work closely with design teams, providing them with essential inputs for assembly and manufacturing needs while ensuring quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomics are maintained. Your role will also involve conducting product studies, defining assembly processes, and associating parts, tools, and quality attributes with process definitions. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct evaluations to optimize hours per vehicle and cycle-time within the product, process, and assembly hierarchy. - Provide design teams with inputs for design for assembly and manufacturing needs during the early planning stages. - Define assembly processes focusing on quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomics. - Associate part, tool, and quality attributes with the process definition. - Perform preliminary line balance, TAKT time, and cycle time planning. - Design small jigs and fixtures. - Conduct time studies using MTM or MOST standards, with MTM certification being desirable. - Identify process enhancements and improvements by comparing with previous product lines. - Manage projects ensuring delivery, quality, time, and innovation are prioritized. Qualifications Required: - Technical expertise in assembly planning and digital validation. - Hands-on experience in general assembly processes and problem resolution. - Proficiency with software such as DELMIA V5, Process Simulate, Vismockup, Team Center Visualization, and Human Jack. - Experience in time study using MTM and MOST techniques. - Research-oriented approach with strong idea generation skills. - Previous experience in the automotive OEM or engineering service industry. - Knowledge of tools like Delmia V5 and Team Center. - Experience in manufacturing engineering and assembly domain within the automotive industry. - Excellent communication skills.,
