Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 (iSeries) platform using RPG, RPGLE, CL, COBOL, SQL/400. • Perform system administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of AS400 systems. • Develop and optimize queries, reports, and batch jobs. • Work with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Perform system upgrades, patches, and security management. • Troubleshoot system issues and provide production support. • Ensure data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business analysts, QA, operations). • Create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Strong experience with AS400 / IBM i (iSeries) environment. • Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CL, COBOL, DB2/400, SQL/400. • Knowledge of AS400 system operations, administration, and security. • Familiarity with EDI, job scheduling, and batch processing. • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to analyze business requirements and implement efficient solutions. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
