Our Client is setting up an AI Factory / COE in Chennai, and for the same we are seeking for great minds with proven exp in Artificial Intelligence.

Role

Lead AI Engineer – an Ideal lead

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership for our AI engineering team
• Oversee the development and implementation of AI systems and solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI strategies and roadmaps
• Architect scalable, cloud-based ML pipelines and systems
• Evaluate, fine-tune, and deploy state-of-the-art models, including LLMs and deep learning frameworks
• Mentor and guide AI engineers in developing and deploying AI solutions
• Ensure that AI solutions are developed using industry’s best practices and standards
• Own AI model governance, performance monitoring, and optimization strategies
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in AI and machine learning
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements

Requisite:

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in AI and machine learning and 3+ years of exp in Technical Leadership
• Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, and software engineering
• Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and model productionization
• Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML pipelines (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow)
• Proven experience deploying models at scale using AWS/GCP/Azure
• Solid grasp of MLOps, model versioning, and performance monitoring
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in fast-paced environments

Preferred

• Exposure to Generative AI, NLP, or Computer Vision
• Experience with CI/CD for ML workflows
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or research publications is a plus
