Architectural Design Reviewer & Coordinator

As a Design Review & Management professional at Mata Amritanandamayi Mandir Trust (MAMAT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, feasibility, and compliance of architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with project specifications and standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify and highlight design discrepancies early on to prevent rework during execution. - Maintaining a centralized log of drawing revisions, RFIs, and approvals to ensure version control across all disciplines. - Organizing and facilitating design review meetings with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors. - Serving as the primary interface between project design teams and on-site construction staff for clarifications and technical decisions. - Coordinating with heritage experts, sthapathis, and cultural consultants to maintain design authenticity and Vastu alignment. - Ensuring that architectural designs meet safety, structural, aesthetic, and sustainability standards, as well as heritage and cultural requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for compliance, quality control, documentation, reporting, and providing execution support. You should have the following qualifications and skills: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent; Masters in Architecture or specialization in Heritage/Monumental Architecture is a plus. - Proven design management and architectural coordination skills, especially for large-scale or multidisciplinary projects. - Experience in project management, submittal review processes, and drawing/documentation workflows. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders. - Ability to work full-time on-site at Mahabalipuram/Chennai and coordinate between multiple stakeholders in real time. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle parallel tasks under tight deadlines. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and project coordination tools; knowledge of BIM workflows is desirable. - Prior experience in construction, architectural consulting, or heritage projects is an added advantage. - Familiarity with Vastu principles or traditional Indian construction techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
