Role Overview

Project / Senior Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through all design stages Concept, Schematic, Design Development, and Construction Documentation.
  
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
  
• Deliver high-quality design and technical documentation for commercial and residential architecture.
  
• Participate in site visits and review construction to ensure design intent is executed.
  
• Review and ensure adherence to local bylaws, DCR (Development Control Regulations), NBC (National Building Code), and applicable building codes.
  
• Supervise junior architects and interns, and ensure the quality and accuracy of work delivered.
  
• Prepare client presentations, reports, and project timelines.
  
• Manage project deliverables, schedules, and resource allocation efficiently.
  

Candidate Expectations & Qualifications

1. Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a reputed institution.
  

2. Work Experience:

• Minimum

  4–8 years

  of professional experience in architecture firms working on

  commercial and residential projects

  .
• At least

  2–3 years of experience

  in a similar role and firm setup.
• Proven ability to handle

  fast-track projects

  with tight deadlines.

3. Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD

• SketchUp

• Photoshop

• Revit

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

4. Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of

  DCR, NBC, building codes

  , and statutory regulations.
• Experience with the

  design and execution of large-scale commercial and residential projects

  .
• Familiarity with

  construction details, materials, and building systems

  .

5. Portfolio:

• A well-documented portfolio highlighting

  professional work

  (completed and ongoing projects) as well as

  academic work

  is required.

6. Communication & Coordination Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively with

  clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams

  .
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Proactive in taking ownership of projects, meetings, and decisions.
