Responsibilities

• Design & Planning Create layouts for classrooms, labs, libraries, WASH blocks, and play areas with a focus on child-centric, flexible, and sustainable spaces.
• Drawings & Documentation Prepare 2D/3D drawings, working layouts, BOQs, and as-built documentation.
• Budgeting Support Coordinate with Budget Managers on BOQs, material specifications, and cost-effective design alternatives.
• Compliance & Standards Ensure adherence to building codes, safety, accessibility, and government regulations.
• Project Execution Provide design clarifications, site supervision, and adapt plans based on on-ground realities.
• Sustainability & Innovation Recommend eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient solutions, and green building practices.
• Coordination & Communication Collaborate with engineering, pedagogy, and leadership teams; prepare design presentations for stakeholders.
• Research & Improvement Stay updated on global trends, document best practices, and integrate innovative ideas.
  

Qualifications

• Education: B.Arch (Mandatory); specialisation in Educational, Institutional, or Sustainable Architecture preferred.
• Certification: Valid registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) or equivalent authority.
• Knowledge: Strong academic background in building design, construction technology, and sustainable practices.
  

Requirements

• Experience: 25 years (mid-level) / 510 years (senior level) in institutional or school infrastructure design.
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp, and rendering tools (Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray).
• Design Skills: Ability to create innovative, functional, and sustainable design solutions.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and green building norms.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Project Management: Ability to manage timelines, resources, and multiple projects effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in drawings, specifications, and documentation.
