A/R Accountant

Role Overview: As an Accountant at the company, your role will involve executing accounting activities to protect and enhance the company's assets in alignment with corporate goals and global standards. You will assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory/statutory and internal control requirements related to financial affairs. Your primary focus will be on accounts receivable support. Key Responsibilities: - Work on cash application and support credit management, maintaining detailed records to aid decision-making processes. - Engage in communication with customers and participate in team sessions to address process issues affecting timely collections. - Maintain individual A/R account control by coordinating with internal and external customers. - Report collection results and issues to management promptly, including account follow-up. - Support credit control specialist in monitoring the status of accounts based on predefined credit parameters. - Participate in monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate closure of the general ledger. - Develop and recommend processes to enhance the efficiency of the close process. - Ensure compliance of all accounting transactions with global accounting standards. - Assist in annual auditing requirements and implement corrective actions based on audit findings. - Conduct monthly inter-Co AR AP account reconciliation in compliance with global requirements. - Prepare data for monthly AR reports and analysis. - Participate in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required: - Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge and proficiency in accounting, particularly in receivables. - Familiarity with accounting laws, regulations, and standards. - Ability to generate and interpret financial reports. - Experience with US company reporting systems. - Familiarity with JD Edwards One World and other ERP systems.
