Job Description

You will be joining our IT Infrastructure team as a System Programmer at a Fortune Global 500 organization. Your role will involve the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of critical enterprise systems such as Linux servers, Apache HTTP Server, and Oracle WebLogic. Your strong scripting abilities and SQL query writing skills will be essential to support operational and development teams effectively. - Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems, Apache HTTP Server, and Oracle WebLogic application servers across different environments. - Perform regular system patching and software updates to uphold platform security and stability. - Develop automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to streamline system management tasks efficiently. - Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting, troubleshooting, and system integration purposes. - Monitor system performance, implement tuning improvements, and ensure maximum availability and efficiency. - Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams for application deployments and system issue resolution. - Maintain accurate system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. - Participate in an on-call rotation and respond promptly to incidents when required. - More than 2 years of experience in system programming. - Proven expertise in Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, or equivalent). - Hands-on experience with Apache HTTP Server and Oracle WebLogic. - Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl. - Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL). - Familiarity with system monitoring tools, performance tuning, security best practices, and patch management procedures. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, ArgoCD, or other automation tools is a plus. - Exposure to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) or container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
