About The Role

Project Role :Application Tech Support Practitioner

Project Role Description :Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge.

Summary:Level 3 – Senior Engineer / Backup SME / Architect :Leads the design, optimization, and governance of enterprise backup infrastructure across hybrid environments.Drives automation, DR testing, and service improvement initiatives for Commvault, Azure Backup, and Veeam platforms. Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and implement global backup and recovery strategies.

Manage and optimize CommServe, Media Agents, Azure Vaults, and Veeam repositories.

Lead upgrades, capacity planning, and DR exercises.

Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.

Perform RCA for major incidents and recommend preventive measures.

Integrate on-prem and cloud backup solutions (Azure Blob, AWS S3, etc.).

Ensure compliance with security, retention, and regulatory standards.

Mentor and guide L1/L2 engineers and conduct KT sessions. Professional & Technical Skills:

5–10+ years of experience in enterprise backup infrastructure management.

Expert knowledge of Commvault architecture, Azure Backup, and Veeam Enterprise Plus / Cloud Connect.

Strong understanding of storage, virtualization, and networking.

Proven experience with multi-petabyte, cross-region environments.

Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
