Application Support (Linux, Unix and SQL- Australian Day Shift)

As an Application Support specialist at FIS, you will play a crucial role in our team, leveraging your expertise in FIS products or demonstrating a strong eagerness to learn. Your responsibilities will include monitoring alerts, addressing production issues, and creating problem tickets for unresolved issues. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including technology, operations, and other upstream and downstream teams, to ensure seamless communication and effective problem resolution. Your proactive approach and technical acumen will be key to maintaining the stability and efficiency of our systems. You will provide in-depth product support to FIS clients by resolving incoming inquiries, responding to customer product inquiries via telephone or in written internet-based email or chat sessions. You will also be responsible for resolving customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance, or product application or compatibility matters. Troubleshooting problems with malfunctioning electro/mechanical equipment or software applications and recommending corrective actions will be part of your role. Additionally, you will document customer information and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and product development. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 1-4 years of considerable hands-on experience in Unix, Linux, and SQL. You should be willing to work regular early morning shifts (5.00 AM to 2.00 PM) Australian Day Shift and have knowledge of the Derivative market, especially on post-trade activities. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships portraying deep technical and functional expertise, as well as knowledge of Project Methodology viz. AGILE, Waterfall, are essential requirements.
