Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and set up automated systems for manufacturing and assembly lines using programmable controllers (PLCs), and operator dashboards (HMIs).

Create and manage the end to end part tracking system involving technologies like barcodes, QR codes, scanners, and cameras.

Write software and scripts (using languages like MATLAB / Python or C#) to connect machines, databases, and tracking systems.

Develop and optimize PCBA test automation scripts for UART/I2C communication.

Design and code the data connectivity between shop floor equipment (PLCs, Scanners) and higher-level systems (MES, ERP) using APIs, OPC UA, and SQL to guarantee accurate, real-time traceability data.

Lead the testing and validation of new equipment and software to ensure they are reliable and meet quality standards, including authoring and executing FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ/PQ protocols

Work with different teams including Quality, IT, and Production to solve problems and improve processes.

Skills:

A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar).

At least 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing automation role.

Hands-on experience with PLC programming.

Proven proficiency in a high-level programming language such as MATLAB, Python, C#, or VB.NET for industrial applications.

Proven experience setting up part traceability systems using barcodes or similar technology.

A solid understanding of how Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) work.

Experience with SQL databases for managing production data.

Experience in industry 4.0 process and systems
