Application Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Analyze application security control requirements and develop
automation solutions using Python
.
Perform
QA
on automation solutions and conduct manual security analysis.
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation
.
Monitor
DevSecOps platforms
and ensure compliance with security requirements.
Review
SAST and SCA findings
, challenge developer analysis, and provide guidance on remediation.
Assist teams in implementing
secure coding practices
and resolving vulnerabilities.
Ensure adherence to
security policies and compliance standards
across projects.

Required Skills and Competencies

Strong programming skills in
Python
(minimum 2+ year of hands-on experience).
Familiarity with
Python libraries
,
GIT
, and
CI/CD tools
(e.g., Jenkins).
Knowledge of
Application Security
,
OWASP Top 10
,
SAST
,
SCA
, and
Secure Development
.
Understanding of
DevSecOps
and
API security
.
Excellent
analytical
,
interpersonal
, and
communication skills
.
Independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of coding experience (in Python, Java, .NET, or C++).
Certifications such as
CSSLP, CEH, ECSA, OSCP, or CompTIA PenTest+
preferred.
Experience in
Secure Coding
or
Security domain
is an added advantage.
