Application Engineer - Pre sales - BMS

Role Overview: As a Controls Pre-sales at Johnson Controls, your primary responsibility will be to support pre-sales engineering for Building Automation System global projects by preparing technical assessments, bill of material preparation, and cost estimation to ensure competitive bidding. You will review project inputs and specifications, MEP drawings, and participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering defect-free solutions on time. Key Responsibilities: - Review project inputs and specifications, capturing the scope and understanding the complete requirements of the project. - Review MEP drawings, specifications, SOP, and identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors. - Prepare for project kick-off/review meetings, including technical queries, compliance/deviations log, risk logs, and record meeting minutes. - Adhere to standard estimation processes and guidelines to select the proper combination of hardware, software, equipment, materials, and services for budget optimization. - Create a bill of material, select sensors, control valves, dampers, air flow stations, controllers, etc. - Prepare Building Automation System network architecture. - Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, and on-time deliveries. - Ensure timesheet compliance with respect to entry and review for self. Qualifications Required: - BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication. - Knowledge of HVAC systems such as Chilled Water System, Cooling Towers, Primary & Secondary pumping systems, Hot Water System, Different types of AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems, etc. - Strong knowledge of BMS architecture with different types of Operator workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators, etc. - Knowledge of different network protocols like BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols. - Proficiency in wiring of starters, field devices, safety interlocks & panels. - Experience in engineering, installing, and commissioning of HVAC & BMS systems for infrastructure projects like pharmaceuticals, airports, commercial buildings, hospitals. - Experience in the field of Automation (PLC programming/SCADA). - Quick learner with a keen eye for problem-solving. - Proficient in written and verbal communication. - Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.,
