Application Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Deputy Manager Application Engineering for EV DC Fast Chargers to lead solution design, system integration, and technical support for e-mobility infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customers, engineering, and project execution teams by providing customized, efficient, and scalable DC charging solutions for electric vehicles, including heavy-duty and fleet applications. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical Solution Design & Pre-Sales: Analyze customer and site requirements to design optimal EV DC Fast Charging solutions (30kW to 480kW range). Select and configure appropriate charger specifications (CCS2, CHAdeMO, GB/T, Pantograph,etc.). Generate detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load flow analysis, and integration plans with grid/solar/BESS. 2. System Integration: Define communication protocols and integration architecture (OCPP, Modbus TCP/IP, CAN). Collaborate with EMS, SCADA, and cloud platform teams to enable remote monitoring and smart charging features. Address grid and utility interconnection requirements (load management, synchronization, protection). 3. Project Engineering & Technical Support: Support site assessment, charger placement, cable management, and civil/electrical interface. Coordinate with OEMs, EPC partners, and internal teams for charging installation and commissioning. Assist in technical documentation, approvals, and training of installation/service partners. 4. Standards, Testing & Compliance: Ensure compliance with BIS, ARAI, IEC, IS, and Mop/CEA norms for EV charging infrastructure. Provide support in charger type testing, field validation, and interoperability testing.
