Application DevOps Engineer

Dynamic Yield's A2A Risk Solutions team creates products and services powered by payments data. We combine data science techniques with deep payments knowledge to develop solutions that improve outcomes for people, businesses, and economies globally. We build bespoke algorithms that help our clients understand the behavior driving their business. As part of this team, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the A2A Risk Solutions product portfolio. You'll build automated systems to support the monitoring and operation of our services, working with analysts, data scientists, and technologists to design systems that ensure the efficacy and efficiency of our products. Roles and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of A2A RS Operations, you will: Build Automatic Monitoring Tools: Develop tools for complex, data science-based microservice deployments to ensure models continue to detect fraud and money laundering, predict accurately, and generate correct economic insights. Enhance Service Accuracy: Collaborate with our Data Scientists to collect data and train models, improving service accuracy and reducing unnecessary alerts. Develop Self-Healing Systems: Work with our Engineers to develop a self-healing and resilient set of microservices, promoting strong operational principles during research, design, and development. Engage with Technology Stacks: Work with current and future technology stacks, both locally and internationally. Automate Incident Management: Utilize Incident Management processes, automating as much as possible and integrating with Dynamic Yield's ticketing systems. Communicate Effectively: Communicate with internal stakeholders and collaborators, as well as technical and business functions within our clients. All About You You're passionate about building robust, smoothly running services that solve real problems in the financial services sector. You enjoy teamwork and are interested in data science and how advanced algorithms can be deployed as product offerings. You're excited by new technology and development approaches and are keen to promote their use in an enterprise setting. You're detail-oriented and enjoy writing or reviewing code. You're willing to be on-call, but your goal is to contribute to software that minimizes or eliminates the need for it. You have 1 or more years of demonstrable experience in software development, data science, DevOps, operations, or a related discipline. You are comfortable communicating with various stakeholders, including subject matter experts, data scientists, software engineers, and enterprise DevOps and security professionals. You are a confident software developer and can write (or are happy to learn) Python and Go . You have a firm grasp of traditional data warehousing , can write SQL , and can optimize the use of large relational databases. You have experience with, and are interested in, contemporary approaches to service design, including the use of containers and container orchestration technologies, streaming data platforms, APIs, and in-memory/NoSQL stores .
