APIGEE Developer

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing APIs using the Apigee Edge platform. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design API solutions that meet business needs. - Creating API proxies, policies, and customizations to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. - Implementing OAuth, JWT, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure APIs. - Monitoring and troubleshooting API performance issues, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to optimize performance. - Developing API documentation, including specifications, guidelines, and tutorials for internal and external stakeholders. - Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API development and implementing best practices to enhance our API ecosystem. - Providing technical guidance and support to junior developers and stakeholders. - Collaborating with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and ensure continuous integration and delivery of APIs. - Participating in code reviews, peer programming sessions, and knowledge sharing activities to maintain high-quality code standards and foster a culture of learning and innovation. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI. - Experience with API management tools other than Apigee (e.g., MuleSoft, Kong, AWS API Gateway). - Familiarity with GraphQL and other emerging API technologies. - Proficiency in Apigee Edge platform, including API proxies, policies, and customizations. - Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar. - Solid understanding of RESTful principles, API design patterns, and best practices. - Experience with API security mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and SSL/TLS. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Proven track record of delivering high-quality API solutions on schedule.
