Apigee Developer

As an Apigee Developer at our company, you will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and efficient API solutions. You will be part of a dynamic team where you will be involved in designing, developing, deploying, and monitoring APIs using the Apigee platform. Your responsibilities will include creating API proxies, implementing security policies, managing traffic, and analyzing data on Apigee. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand API requirements and deliver solutions that can scale effectively. Additionally, you will work on implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, API Key, and JWT. Troubleshooting and resolving performance, reliability, and security issues in APIs will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with DevOps and backend teams to enable CI/CD for API deployments will be crucial, along with maintaining clear documentation for APIs and workflows. To excel in this role, you are expected to have 4 to 10 years of overall software development experience with a minimum of 2 years in Apigee API Management. A strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices is essential. You should be proficient in using Apigee Edge, Apigee hybrid, and Apigee API Gateway policies. Hands-on experience with authentication mechanisms like OAuth, API Key, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and security protocols is required. Additionally, familiarity with backend integration using JavaScript, Python, or Java is preferred. Exposure to DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines will be beneficial. Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially GCP, is preferred, and experience with AWS/Azure is a plus. Good communication and collaboration skills are also important for this role.
