Summary:
As a Database Administrator, you will design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems, developing procedures for daily maintenance, and resolving any issues that arise, all while collaborating with various teams to enhance database functionality and efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Monitor database performance and implement improvements as necessary.- Assist in the development of database policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apache Cassandra.- Strong understanding of database management systems and their architecture.- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for database systems.- Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles.
