APAC Power BI & SQL Developer

Role Overview: As the APAC Power BI & SQL Developer at Dentsu, you will play a crucial role within the APAC Enterprise Technology team. Your primary focus will be on utilizing your expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data visualization to deliver high-quality business analytics solutions using cutting-edge BI tools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's digital transformation by creating innovative data visualization solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the APAC Data Architect & Engineer to design and develop BI semantic models and dashboarding solutions based on multi-market business requirements. - Transform complex datasets into informative dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. - Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs, define implementation requirements, and deliver solutions that align with best practices in data modeling and dashboard design. - Create technical documentation detailing metric definitions, data transformation techniques, and security measures. - Implement row-level security on data and ensure efficient utilization of Power BI Infrastructure. - Lead projects independently using formal project management and agile methodology, providing technical direction and training to other BI Consumers. - Work with BI & Analytic teams to develop BI road Map/Vision and stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices. - Provide ad-hoc SQL development and reporting support for existing analytics and Power BI solutions across the APAC region. Qualifications: Experience: - 7-10 years of Power BI Development experience with a focus on designing high-quality models and dashboards. - Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, DAX, Tabular Editor, and Power BI Premium capacity administration. - Strong SQL development experience and expertise in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence. - Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling, administration, and visualization, including Azure Cloud databases and ETL framework. - Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric technologies and experience in working with finance data. Other key Competencies: - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Solid database design skills and understanding of data-warehousing strategies. - Experience with Cloud-based data integration tools and Azure Dev Ops or JIRA is a plus. - Familiarity with agile development techniques is desirable.
