The ideal candidate is an editorial strategist, storyteller, and networker with deep knowledge of India’s governance landscape. Key Responsibilities: 1. Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership Research, develop, and edit content highlighting governance, public administration, and bureaucratic leadership across India. Craft compelling narratives on policy innovation, administrative reforms, and successful government programs. Ensure content quality, clarity, and consistency in editorial tone across platforms. 2. Bureaucracy Coverage & Government Affairs Build strong relationships with IAS officers, senior bureaucrats, and policy leaders. Cover and report on government reforms, civil services initiatives, and governance models. Monitor developments in public administration to identify opportunities for exclusive editorial coverage. 3. Conference Planning & Stakeholder Engagement Plan and execute high-impact governance conferences, summits, and leadership roundtables. Curate agendas, finalize speaker line-ups, and develop content-rich sessions in collaboration with senior officials. Coordinate with local/state governments and stakeholders for sponsorships and partnerships, contributing to event revenue. 4. Interviews & Podcast Programming Conduct interviews (in-person and virtual) with bureaucrats, public servants, and policy thinkers. Lead podcast planning from scripting to production, reflecting governance challenges and leadership journeys. Manage guest coordination and ensure high-quality, timely content delivery. 5. Editorial Planning & Current Affairs Monitoring Maintain a governance-focused editorial calendar aligned with administrative developments and public events. Stay updated on civil services reforms, state-level initiatives, and intergovernmental collaborations. Align content timelines with government programs and national policy milestones. 6. On-ground Reporting & Travel Provide live coverage and editorial support during events, conferences, and field visits. Travel across India to cover programs, conduct interviews, and gather on-site content. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with design, marketing, and partnerships teams to develop integrated content across formats. Contribute to white papers, policy briefs, and editorial reports in collaboration with senior editors and partner institutions. Support government outreach and strategic content partnerships. 8. Content Optimization & Distribution Optimize content for digital platforms, including website, social media, newsletters, and podcast channels. Ensure editorial quality in terms of tone, SEO, and platform standards. Use analytics to guide content planning and improve audience engagement. 9. Administrative Coordination Manage stakeholder communications, especially with government departments and external contributors. Support editorial operations including uploads, content scheduling, and media resource management. Desired Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Journalism will be preferred. 6–10 years of editorial experience, preferably with a focus on governance or public affairs. Strong networking abilities with knowledge of India’s bureaucratic and policy ecosystem. Proven experience in leading editorial teams, multimedia production (especially podcasts), and event content planning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
