Job Description

The study involves understanding the movement of a heterogeneously motile collective of sperm cells in the presence of fluid flow, chemo- and thermo- gradients, obstacles and debris, complex geometries. etc.

  • The JRF is expected to develop a microfluidic setup that mimics the flow and geometric conditions of a female reproductive system, to better test the motility of sperm cells.
  • Basic understanding of MATLAB/Lab View is desirable.
  • The JRF is also expected carry out experiments with the fabricated droplet microfluidic system, prepare technical documents, manuscripts and reports.

Qualification and Experience


Post Graduate Degree in Physics OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MOE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
